Biofreeze Pain Relieving Spray Review : This stuff really works and doesn't leave the disgusting Ben Gay smell after using it. The pleasant menthol smell goes away within 10 to 15 minutes but the relief continues. Highly recommended!

Biofreeze Pain Relieving Spray Review : I have the biofreeze sample packs for portability, but at home I like to use this spray, it allows me full coverage...especially in places on my back, for instance, which I can't always reach so easily. This product works wonderfully. I will definitely purchase it again.

Biofreeze Pain Relieving Spray Review : BioFreeze Spray, after using the gel, was something of a disappointment.
While I got almost instant results from the gel, the spray was quite a bit milder. It didn't seem to have the "zing" I associated with the gel.
Still, i did get some relief.

1. I suffer from horrible back and neck pain due to being hit by a car while I was riding my bicycle when I was 20. My back and shoulder was broken and my neck was fractured and nerves were damaged. I am in pain 24/7 and I am told that my condition will remain until the rest of my days. I am 26 now and still was hoping to find something that would make this painful journey a little bit less painful. I have tried everything on the market from pain pills to all types of oozes and miracle cures. They all failed except for one. Biofreeze is the only thing that provides me with temporary relief so I could at least take a breath and not cry from the pain. You won't be disapointed I assure you.

2. Those looking for temporary relief of pain would almost certainly find this product useful. However, if anyone has ever used any other Menthol/Camphor-based topical pain reliever the results will be similar if not the same--in other words there isn't any magic here. This product numbs the area and serves as a good adjunct to use along with your NSAID of choice (i.e. Naproxen, Ibuprofen, etc) for temporary pain relief while the injured area heals itself. The only cautionary statement I have is that this product may give you the false impression that your injury has healed completely. The user needs to be careful not to exacerbate their injury as a result of this.

3. I've used for years and keep an ample supply at home and to share with friends! This products has done wonders to relieve the pain of bad back, carpal tunnel syndrome, and arthritis in the hands. BUT - what is really interesting, is when used on insect bites. Fire ant and mosquito bites are instantly relieved by a small amount applied to the bite site. The relief lasts for hours and seems to prevent further irritation and infection.

4. I am fairly active and train 6 days a week. Whether it's running, weight training, martial arts, or sports, I often have sore joints and muscle aches. In the past I've used Icy Hot, Bengay, and Aspercreme but recently I tried Biofreeze which was offered at my chiropractor. Although Biofreeze, like the other brands provide only temporary pain relief, it is by far the most effective one and longest lasting. It is of a gel texture unlike Aspercreme and Bengay. I am beginning to make it a habit of applying Biofreeze a little to much because it does feel nice and cold and should stop using it unless I absolutely need it but nonetheless, Biofreeze is extremely effective in temporarily relieving sore muscles and joints.

5. I actually discovered this product 7 yrs ago. I was suffering from a severe case of photosun sensitivity caused from a reaction to an antibiotic. I had a rash and had gone to OK and CT, where the heat and sun caused me to blister and develop hives. One night I was surfing the internet to find some relief from the itching and saw where another woman's daughter had the same thing. She had found BioFreeze and it was the only thing that helped her. I ordered it and OMG-what a relief! The gel and coolness of this product is wonderful. It numbs the skin topically to give you relief from the scratching for a period of time. About 2 months ago I was cleaning and thought I haven't used this in 7 yrs, I'll through it out! Mistake, one month later the same thing happen and I turned right to Amazon to order this wonderful product. I will never be without this again.

6. The first time I was introduced to anything like this was after my car accident. I had a ruptured disk and in the therapy office they used Tiger Balm. Tiger Balm worked great for DEEP penetration. Unfortunately, my PT was in the AM and I would leave there and head to work. The smell of Tiger Balm would irritate some of my co-workers and it also stained my clothes. My Mom suggested BioFreeze.

BioFreeze is a gel and not oil base so I didn't have problems with it staining my clothes. Also, the smell isn't as harsh as the Tiger Balm and dissipates pretty quickly. I can use it through out the day to relieve pain. I love it.

I do keep both the Tiger Balm and the Biofreeze in my cabinet. Tiger Balm gives greater relief so I use it at night or after a hard work out. I keep the Biofreeze for quick relief during the day.

7. I bought this product based on prior experience years ago when I was having muscle pain. My doctor had given me a lot of samples when I was in need.

I have Fibromyalgia, which is characterized by wide spread pain among other things. The pain can be very debilitating and I do take prescription medications to help, but I recently thought to ask for samples again to take care of my flares. My doctor was out of them at that time but told me it was now available OTC. My local pharmacy did not have the BioFreeze, but I did find it here on Amazon. I could have bought a smaller amount, but I liked the idea of a pump so I bought the 32oz BioFreeze with Ilex Pain Relieving Gel. I'm not so sure that the Ilex was in the original BioFreeze, but that was not a concern to me when I purchased it.

The price of the BioFreeze was very reasonable. I had horror visions of it costing above my budget, but it was well within it. I like that BioFreeze has only the cold sensation and when using it, it rubs in quickly. As expected, it has a menthol type smell that can be offensive, but I have become used to it.

It is not a good idea to put the BioFreeze everywhere you might be painful. I found this out the hard way and one night I thought I would never get warm enough to go to sleep.

Maybe I was expecting a miracle gel when purchasing the BioFreeze, so I hesitate to write negatives. For me personally, BioFreeze does not meet my needs. For my husband, he uses it for minor muscle pain in his shoulders and he is satisfied.

I suffer from horrible back and neck pain due to being hit by a car while I was riding my bicycle when I was 20. My back and shoulder was broken and my neck was fractured and nerves were damaged. I am in pain 24/7 and I am told that my condition will remain until the rest of my days.
